Vaccine Update

We are thrilled to announce that 100% of our care managers are fully vaccinated! Our Debbie’s Angels who are medically able to be vaccinated have all received at least their first vaccine and should be fully vaccinated by mid-March. We continue to provide a lot of education to our clients, their families and caregivers regarding the vaccine and what to expect in terms of short-term side effects, as well as long-term benefits. For more information about the vaccine itself and how it works, see this article from Johns Hopkins, what you need to know . For more information regarding potential side effects, this article from The Atlantic is quite helpful, covid vaccine.

We are also very pleased to report that we have registered many of our clients to get vaccinated at county clinics and our care managers are working hard every day to help make sure that they can be vaccinated as soon as possible. We are listing below more links to information about the vaccine and how to sign up for it in our local service area. For those who do not have access to the internet or would like to speak with someone by phone to get information and/or to make an appointment to be vaccinated, the Maryland Dept. of Health has just opened a vaccine support call center. It will be staffed 7 days a week from 7AM to 10PM. The phone number is 1-855-MDGOVAX or 1-855-634-6829.

In an effort to keep up with this ever-changing situation, we have listed below the links to find the latest information from the District of Columbia, Montgomery County & Prince George’s County and the State of Maryland on vaccination schedules, and FAQ regarding the vaccine:
